First Donut

I was packing up the car today and had Coleman in and out of the garage/driveway at my in-laws house "helping" me. There were two trays of donuts on the ground that I had already explained to Coleman AND Harley that they were to NOT be touched. Harley disobeyed the rule the night before and Coleman set the donut down (good job little guy).

So this morning, I was packing up the car and all of the sudden I hear Coleman saying "mmmm....mmmm"....I turned around and he has both hands wrapped around a cinnamon sugar donut and is just chomping away! I looked right at him and said "Coleman...what are you doing?" (in a stern...but half joking voice b/c it was really funny) and he took the donut away from his mouth and gave me the biggest smile I have ever seen. He then proceeded to eat the donut until I came and took it away after snapping a photo with my phone (mean mommy for taking it away, luckily there as no big tantrum). Probably one of the cutest things he's done!

You'd think this wouldn't really be a big deal...but this was Coleman's FIRST donut from the farm ever! I was hoping to get the moment on camera with a few shots of Justin and I with a donut and him, plus...we don't let him have a lot of sugar in general so this was a big deal to me that he was eating this super sugary covered donut!!! And, the donuts had been sitting there overnight - they weren't even fresh! Oh well....it was a cute moment and I'm glad I got a picture of it. The face and the "mmmm" was priceless.
