10 months

Happy Mother's Day!

I'm doing Coleman's 10 month post a few days late...but this is the first time I've had a few free minutes to myself. The house is clean, and since it's Mother's Day...I'm taking time for myself to enjoy doing what I like....blogging while the little man takes a nap!

I came out of the bedroom this morning to a cute little banner that read "Happy Mother's Day", I looked at my little guy and he gave me a huge smile and crawled as fast as he could to me and gave me a good squeeze and slobbery kiss. It was perfect! He also "wrote" me this cute card...

So now for the 10 month update

10 month photo

Coleman has been moved from his infant car seat to a new car seat! I think I like it for the most part...there are a few things I would change...but I think that would happen with any of these type of car seats. Coleman is a much better traveler during the day as he can somewhat see out the window and is sitting upright a little more so he can play better with his toys. Here he is sporting his adorable hat in his new car seat!

Coleman learned MANY new tricks this past month. Here is a list of all his precious talents...

wave
high five
dance (went from a head bob to a full body movement)
show us "SO BIG"
say "uh oh" (with tone of voice and different sounds...it's cute)
say "E-I-E-I"without the 'O' when singing Old McDonald
give hugs and kisses
say "mama"
Our "SO BIG" Family

Coleman has been very mobile this past month too! He is very busy crawling everywhere and getting into everything (like Harley's water dish). He is also busy walking around the table, couch, entertainment center, etc. He's pushing his toy around the house and screaming every time he gets stuck. He also likes to push around the kitchen chairs. He has almost mastered standing on his own.

Just had to put up this adorable picture of my little man

I took Coleman swimming this past month to an Aquatic Center in Holland while visiting my parents. He had a great time! The little play area was quite chilly for him, but they had a therapy pool that moms could take their babies in (98 degrees)...it was great! Coleman LOVES the water!

Another one of Coleman's favorite things to do during the day is look out the front door. He is really observant and we've been doing lots of watching of the birds, squirrels, and chipmunks. I love it when Justin comes home from work for lunch or at dinner and Coleman sees him and waves...it's too cute! As you can see, Harley enjoys looking out the window too.

Coleman also loves to play with his toys...he makes quite a mess doing so!

This month was full of learning new tricks and continuing to be on the go all the time! It's so much fun to watch Coleman figure out this world. It's so fun to watch him process different situations and figure things out (like how to close a door, push shapes in the right hole on toys, push buttons to make thing move or make noise). I LOVE watching him figure things out. He has the most adorable personality and I'm so lucky he's such a happy baby!
